What happens at a LifeGroup?

Lifegroups are small groups of people who meet together on a regular basis. They are drawn together by common interests, a specific topic or activity or a particular demographic. In a Lifegroup you’ll meet people who live near you, are in the same stage of life as you or have similar interests. Whether you are reading through a Bible Study together, diving deeper into the weekend messages, serving one of our Beyond Our Walls partners or sharing a common interest, our Lifegroups are places where community is built and lives are changed.

How often does a LifeGroup meet?

Groups meet on different days and times throughout the week. Most choose to meet every week, others meet bi-weekly.

Where do LifeGroups meet?

Groups meet in homes, restaurants, offices and coffee shops all across our city.

How long does a typical LifeGroup stay together?

Our Lifegroups commit to meeting together for at least one semester. At the end of each semester the group leaders and participants decide what’s next for their group. We have groups that have been meeting together and growing in numbers for years and we also have groups that meet for one semester and then multiply to start new groups.

Is there childcare available?

Not all groups offer childcare, but quite a few do. You can see which groups offer childcare through our LifeGroup Search.

What if I don’t like the first group I try?

Lifegroups are about people and people are all different. The good news is there are a ton of groups to choose from at Rock City, so if you try one out and it’s not quite the best fit, no worries! Try another one and don’t give up. We believe there is a group that is right for everyone!
