Since 1980, they have been working with grocers, food companies, Ohio farmers, the USDA, community partners, and people like you to obtain food and distribute it to 650 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs, and senior housing sites across central and eastern Ohio. Rock City is a proud long-standing partner.

Homeless Families Foundation
The Homeless Families Foundation is a homeless families’ service provider in Columbus, Ohio. Programs include housing assistance, holistic case management, and a children’s education center for afterschool and summer academic and enrichment opportunities for children in kindergarten through middle school. HFF provides housing assistance and educational services. Most families, with some help, are capable of living independently and can best work to address their issues when they are in a stable, long-term home environment.
The children are an important focus of HFF Stabilizing and empowering families, as well as providing quality education to at-risk youth, is crucial in breaking the cycle of homelessness. Everyday after school, over 70 students come to HFF for a meal, education, and a loving community. Students need help with homework and reading, but most of all encouragement from others. As a volunteer in the classroom, you can assist the teacher with any needs they have for the day.
Through partnership with volunteers in local churches International Friendships (IFI) seeks to help fulfill the Great Commission by sharing God’s love with 7,000+ international students at OSU. They offer them opportunities to experience American life in a non-university setting and to make American friends. Through Bible and discipleship groups IFI shares the gospel and prepares internationals to become missionaries to their family and friends. You can join the effort! Be matched with a student and meet for conversation or a meal, enjoy a fun activity, or go shopping. Your LifeGroup can help bring food to Bible Discussion groups, with one-time events, or make care packages for students.
