Rock City Kids

We’re engaging kids and empowering families.

We think church should be fun at any age, so each and every week, we use activities, music, technology and small group time to help children experience for themselves who God is and how much He loves them. Our awesome team of prepared volunteers works hard to ensure that while you’re loving your worship experience, your kids are learning about Jesus on their level in age-appropriate environments.

First-Time Families

On your first visit, head to Rock City Kids Check-In and locate the station designated for new kids and families. You’ll be greeted by one of our friendly Rock City Kids team members, who will answer any questions, collect information about you and your child, and walk your family to your child’s age-appropriate room. If you’d like to prepare for your first visit and quicken the check-in process, create your family profile in advance.

Common Questions

In order to create a distraction-free environment where parents and others can experience Jesus, children five years old and younger are not permitted in the main worship experience auditoriums at every Rock City location. While this may be inconvenient for some families, we truly believe that the Rock City Kids experience will be life-giving and life-changing for your child.

Note that a Mom’s Viewing Room is available at all Rock City locations. If you have a child younger than six weeks or need to keep a child with you during the worship experience, these private rooms offer comfortable furniture, a diaper changing station and other amenities for mothers.

All Rock City Kids volunteers wearing blue shirts (adults) and gray shirts (minors) are background checked and trained to ensure your child has the safest and best experience possible. Additionally, we have a churchwide safety team in place for each worship experience, as well as local police department members onsite to ensure the security of each Rock City Church location.

If you are planning to attend Rock City with a child who has special needs or a disability, we encourage you to Let Us Know You’re Coming. This will allow you to specify any special accommodations and will also help us collaborate with you to ensure your child has a great experience.

*Depending on your child’s needs and the availability of our trained volunteers, it may take some time to put proper accommodations in place. The Kids Director at your location will help facilitate a plan that best fits your child’s needs.

As parents, we can help point our children to Jesus, but they are the ones who, once they are old enough to understand and make a decision on their own, need to decide if they will commit their lives to Him.

At Rock City, we wait until children are old enough to express their own decision to follow Jesus and understand the meaning of baptism before allowing them to take this step. If your child has already asked Jesus into his or her life, we encourage you to explain what baptism is and what it means, allowing them to choose to take part in this exciting step of faith. In the meantime, we encourage parents to dedicate their children to the Lord, which takes place several times each year as part of a Rock City Worship experience at all locations. Be sure to check your Rock City Dashboard, as well as upcoming event announcements, for dates and times of the next child dedication Sunday.

For additional information regarding kids’ dedication, salvation, baptism and communion, we have created a series of resource guides for parents and caregivers.
