Then Peter stood up with the eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: “In the last days, God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy … your young men will see visions and your old men will dream dreams.’” – Acts 2:4-17
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. – 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

You know what time it is. It’s time for you to wake up. Our salvation is nearer now than when we first became believers. The night is almost over, and the day is near. So we should get rid of the things that belong to the dark and take up the weapons that belong to the light. We should live decently, as people who live in the light of day.
